Level 2 AAT Foundation Certificate in Accounting Course

The Level 2 AAT Foundation Certificate in Accounting Qualification entails four mandatory units are assessed individually in end-of-unit assessments, in addition to a synoptic assessment that trainees sat towards the end of the qualification. The synoptic assessment draws on and assesses knowledge and understanding from across the qualification.

Upon completion of the course, trainees will be expected to:
• Understand financial transactions within a bookkeeping system
• Process customer transactions
• Understand payment methods
• Understand controls in a bookkeeping system
• Understand the cost recording system within an organisation
• Use cost recording techniques
• Set up accounting software
• Process sales and purchases transaction
• Understand the nance function within an organisation
• Use personal skills development in nance

The Level 2 AAT Foundation Certicate in Accounting covers a range of foundation accounting and finance
skills in five mandatory units:
1. Bookkeeping Transactions
2. Bookkeeping Controls
3. Elements of Costing
4. Using Accounting Software
5. Work Eectively in Finance

Trainees must successfully complete four-unit assessments and one synoptic assessment to achieve this qualification. The proportion of this qualification assessed by external assessment is 100%.
Unit and synoptic assessments are not awarded grades individually, but the marks achieved in all assessments contribute to the Trainee’s overall grade for the qualification. Trainees who score 70 and above out of 100 will be awarded a certicate of completion from Association Accounting Technician (AAT).

This course is aimed to job seekers who will work in Accounting/ Finance/ Purchasing/ Sales, accounts assistance, bookkeepers, clerk, accountant and general staff.

• Good standard of English and maths.
