Every year, many lives and properties are lost by re on buildings, industries, and homes. Human error is by far the most common cause of fires and it is often a single careless act that endangers the lives of others. This course is designed as an introduction to fire safety for all employees so as to ensure they are familiar with fire risks and the controls available as well as the action to be taken in the event of a fire in their workplace.
Upon completion of the course, trainees will be expected to:
• Understand the hazards and risks associated with fire in the workplace.
• Understand how re risk is controlled in the workplace.
• Understand the principles and practice of re safety management at work.
• Understand the role of the nominated re warden.

The course concludes with a multiple choice examination consisting of thirty questions (45 minutes). Trainees who score higher than 20 and above out of 30 will be awarded a certi cate of completion from British Safety Council.
