SUMMARY

This course is designed as an introduction to fire safety for all employees so as to ensure they are familiar with fire risks and the controls available as well as the action to be taken in the event of a fire in their workplace.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

Upon completion of the course, trainees will be expected to:
• Understand the hazards and risks associated with fire in the workplace.
• Understand how re risk is controlled in the workplace.
• Understand the principles and practice of re safety management at work.
• Understand the role of the nominated re warden.

• Fire-ghting equipment

• Fire risk assessments

ASSESSMENT AND CERTIFICATION

The course concludes with a multiple choice examination consisting of thirty questions (45 minutes). Trainees who score higher than 20 and above out of 30 will be awarded a certicate of completion from British Safety Council.

TARGET AUDIENCE

This course is suitable for all employees and particularly useful for those with a designated responsibility for re safety in their work area, such as re wardens.

PREREQUISITES

Trainees should preferably have:
• Basic understanding of health and safety principles.
• Good command of the English language.
