This course provides trainees with knowledge and understanding of the re risk assessment process and the skills required to undertake it effectively.

• Determining the responsible person
• Risk assessment approach to re safety

• Principles of the re triangle and re prevention
• Main causes of re in dierent occupancies
• Recognising re hazards in the workplace
• Identifying the location of people at risk
• Evaluating the adequacy of existing arrangements
• Recording the ndings of a re risk assessment
• Making recommendations based on the ndings
• Reviewing and revising a re risk assessment.

ASSESSMENT AND CERTIFICATION

The course is assessed via an online assignment after course completion where trainees need to complete a set of tasks in their own workplace. Trainees who score higher than 12 and above out of 18 will be awarded a certicate of completion from British Safety Council.

TARGET AUDIENCE

This course is aimed at those with responsibility for carrying out re risk assessments in the workplace.

Trainees should preferably have:
• Good understanding of health and safety principles.
• Good command of the English language.
