Good health and safety standards rely on employers and employees working together to reduce risks and prevent accidents and ill-health arising from work activities. With this in mind, this qualification has been carefully developed by British Safety Council to provide employees with a basic knowledge and understanding of health and safety in the workplace, including the duties of employers and employees under UK health and safety legislation.
Upon completion of the course, trainees will be expected to:
1. Understand the importance of health and safety in the workplace.
2. Understand the scope of hazards and risks in the workplace.
3. Understand the range of workplace conditions that can affect health and safety.
4. Understand the requirements for workplace procedures.

The course concludes with a multiple choice examination consisting of twenty questions (30 minutes).
Trainees who score higher than 13 and above out of 20 will be awarded a certi cate of completion from British Safety Council.
